Editorial Guidelines

These are the rules every article on BeforeYouBuys follows.

Accuracy

• Prices, plan limits and features are checked against the vendor’s own pages when an article is written or updated.
• Every article shows its last updated date.
• Figures such as speed, uptime or audit results are only reported with their source.

Independence

• Vendors don’t see articles before they are published and can’t pay for a better position.
• Affiliate commissions don’t decide which tools are covered or how they rank.
• If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labelled. Reviews are never sponsored.

Honesty about experience

• Articles say when a product has been used first-hand and when the view is based on research.
• We don’t invent test results, ratings, testimonials or awards.

Corrections

Factual errors are fixed and the updated date changes. You can report an issue on the contact page.
